Springtime is here and you know what that means. It’s time to throw out those filthy fast food cups, wipe down that dusty dashboard and let in some fresh air to dispel that smell that’s been bothering you for the last 3 months. Yes, it’s time for some spring cleaning and we want to share six simple tips using common household items to properly clean your car interior without a fuss. Let’s start with the ceiling.
2. Dashboard: You can wipe the dashboard down with a washcloth and use a car brush or toothbrush to dust any hard to reach spaces.
4. Heater: Use a dry cloth and cotton swabs to easily access those narrow vent spaces. It’s good to clean these areas to help prevent any allergies and respiratory ailments caused from too much dust.
6. Car Floor Mats: For rubber, simply spray it down with soapy water and wipe, and for fabrics, you can always use your household vacuum.

Kia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP) on February 22 to confirm its support for the organization’s hallmark World Environment Day (WED). The official signing ceremony took place at the United Nations compound in Nairobi, Kenya and marked Kia’s continued commitment to environmental sustainability.
Commemorated on every 5 June since 1972, WED has grown to become the most widely celebrated global day for positive environmental action. WED activities take place year round as a worldwide call to action for individuals and organizations to mobilize environmental activities. This year Kia will award an eco-friendly vehicle to five participating organizations whose WED activity mobilization scores high on criteria as evaluated by UNEP.
The signing ceremony was attended by Achim Steiner, UN Under-Secretary General and Executive Director of UNEP; Izabella Teixeira, Brazilian Environment Minister and MK Kim, President of Kia’s Middle East and Africa Regional Headquarters.

Based on the Hyundai Equus platform, the new model is Kia’s first rear-wheel drive sedan and combines innovative design with high-tech features. KH is among the company’s eagerly anticipated new models and will be launched in Kia’s domestic market in the first half of 2012.
Soon-Nam Lee, Kia’s Director of the Overseas Marketing Group, says, “Our all-new flagship sedan integrates all of our key capabilities such as design, performance, high-tech features and infotainment into one striking model.
According to Kia, the KH’s profile was a key focus for the design team. It features a simple side character line to give a feeling of spaciousness while emphasizing the new model’s bold and dynamic image.
The sketches also reveal a bold front-end design inspired by the look of Kia’s recent GT Concept and featuring the automaker’s family-look radiator grille and modern, tapered-back headlamps. Overseeing the design is Kia’s styling chief, Peter Schreyer, the former Audi designer responsible for the lines of the first-generation TT.
Beneath the sheet metal will be the rear-wheel drive platform from the Hyundai Equus luxury sedan, not the smaller Genesis as previously predicted. This means the KH is likely to come with a V-8 engine matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Although launch timings for those overseas markets are undetermined, this all-new rear-wheel drive large sedan will reach North American shores sometime in the near future.

Kia has finally detailed the snazzy little Optima number they used in the Super Bowl commercial the past Sunday. It’s called the SX Limited and it bowed today at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show and is the new range-topping version of the popular sedan.
It’s obviously based on the SX version and adds 18-inch chromed alloy wheels, a chrome-accented rear spoiler, LED daytime running lights and red front-brake calipers. This exclusive-looking car is available in three exterior colors, namely Ebony Black, Snow White Pearl and Titanium Metallic. Kia Motors and Starbucks Coffee have joined Sprint as official sponsors for the second season of NBC's The Voice.
Each will appear throughout the season through on-air integrations, branding opportunities and extensive digital programs; all three will be featured during The Voice's season premiere Sunday following Super Bowl XLVI. Sprint returns for a second year as an official sponsor, this time in an expanded role. The phone service provider will again sponsor the Social Media Room as well as the official voting, which includes: on-air, on NBC.com, on Facebook, on NBC's synched-to-broadcast second screen experience NBC Live, and mobile. Spring will also sponsor a special online live stream that will be available on NBC.com after each live performance show with social media correspondent Christina Milian, who will answer fan questions and comments. Sprint will be providing mobile phones and tablets for each of the contestants, mentors and coaches. Kia will feature the 2012 Sorento CUV, which will be used during the Battle Rounds, as the contestants will be seen driving the cars and using the car-maker's UVO voice-activated communications system. There will also be a series of Webisodes with season one contestant Dina Frampton, where she drives around in Sorento. Starbucks will help support the creation of exclusive online content that will feature the contestants focusing on ways to serve local communities.
